Every Silverado 2500 HD has two engine options: a 6.6L V8 gas engine or a 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. The 6.6L V8 gas engine comes standard on all trims, offering 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. Drivers with profound towing needs often choose the available 6.6L Duramax engine because it delivers a maximum towing capacity of 22,070 pounds, along with 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm.
Exterior
Pickups in the Silverado lineup come with helpful exterior elements like the CornerStep rear bumper and Durabed, making them great work trucks.
